Does anyone recognize this movie?
I saw years ago on Turner Classic, a film that have since been trying to remember the title. It was filmed in black and white, and recalls Alfred Hitchcock. Clearly I can remember a few details: the main character was a woman, and was silent. However, eventually exceeds its (apparent psychological) the inability to speak to try to prevent their romantic interest of his approaching end. I think it takes place in a large house or mansion, and at some point, the lead actress is locked in the basement, while the bad, which I think was his mother (stepmother, perhaps?) part of their acts dirty. Sorry if this seems like this is not really news, but any ideas would be appreciated.
